3Appointments and Bookings

An appointment request submitted through our website, by phone or by message is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your appointment is confirmed only once our team has responded and given you a date and time.

• Please give accurate contact details so we can reach you to confirm.
• Doctor availability can change at short notice due to surgeries and emergencies. We will inform you as early as possible and offer an alternative slot.
• Arriving late may mean a shorter consultation or the need to reschedule, so that other patients are not delayed.
• Please carry a valid photo ID and any earlier reports, scans or prescriptions relevant to your condition.

4Consultation, Treatment and Consent

All treatment is provided by qualified clinicians in line with accepted medical practice. Before any procedure, we will explain what is proposed, the expected benefits, the risks involved and any alternatives, and we will obtain your informed consent.

You have the right to ask questions, to seek a second opinion, and to refuse or withdraw from any proposed treatment. Where you decline a recommended treatment, we will explain the likely consequences so your decision is an informed one.

5Fees, Payment and Billing

Consultation fees, procedure charges, room tariffs and diagnostic costs are available from our billing desk on request. Any estimate we give is an approximation based on the expected course of treatment.

6Insurance, Cashless and TPA Claims

We work with a range of insurers and schemes, including CGHS, ECHS, Ayushman and various TPAs. We will assist you with paperwork and submit claims on your behalf where applicable.

• Approval of a cashless request rests entirely with your insurer or TPA, not with the hospital.
• If a claim is delayed, partly approved or rejected, you remain responsible for settling the balance directly.
• Charges that your policy does not cover, such as certain consumables or non-medical items, are payable by you.
• Please share your policy details at the time of admission so we can begin the process early.

7Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you cannot attend a confirmed appointment, please let us know as early as you can so the slot can be offered to another patient. You can reschedule by calling us on the numbers listed below.

Where the hospital cancels or reschedules an appointment or a planned procedure, we will offer you the earliest suitable alternative. Refunds of any advance payment are processed in line with the hospital refund policy applicable at the time.

8Your Responsibilities as a Patient

Good care depends on accurate information and cooperation. We ask that you:

• Give complete and truthful details about your medical history, medication, allergies and past procedures.
• Follow the treatment plan, medication schedule and rehabilitation advice given by your clinician.
• Attend follow-up appointments, as recovery after orthopaedic treatment depends heavily on them.
• Tell us promptly about any new symptom, reaction or complication.
• Settle your bills as per the hospital policy.

9Hospital Rules and Conduct

To keep the hospital safe and calm for every patient, we ask all patients, attendants and visitors to follow the hospital rules on visiting hours, the number of attendants permitted, infection control, and restricted areas such as operation theatres and intensive care units.

Photography or recording inside clinical areas is not permitted without permission, as it affects the privacy of other patients. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a person to leave where behaviour is abusive, threatening or disruptive to care.

10Medical Records and Reports

Your medical records are maintained by the hospital and retained for the period required under Indian medical regulations. You may request a copy of your records, and we will provide them in line with applicable law and our verification process.

Reports, scans and discharge summaries we issue relate to your care at OrthoMedd Hospital. Please do not alter them or use them in a way that misrepresents their content.
